So, five out of eight. That's not too bad, but I missed the big category. I understand why The Shape of Water won though.
I loved Frances McDormand's speech recognizing all the female Oscar nominees in every category--that was great and I got a little verklempt.
Lonnnnng show, but good.
I'm going to bed.

Good job!
I was actually surprised The Shape of Water won, considering best actors and actresses were from Three Billboards. Sometimes I just don't get the Oscars.
Unlike you I did not get verklempt when she had all of the women stand up. I'm so horrible. I'm kind of tired of hearing about the Hollywood women this, women that. I sound like a man. Haha! I guess maybe I'd be more interested if the focus wasn't on women who are already making hundreds of thousands, and at times, millions of dollars.
And the show was a bit boring, no? Maybe because I was multi-tasking while watching but I think it may be time for a new host.
great job!
and although i wasn't really thinking about Jordan Peele winning, i was so glad that he did! very exciting.
i didn't see shape of water, and i STILL don't want to- i didn't want it to win so that sort of sucked. but who am i to say...i didn't even see it!!!
so impressed you saw all of them. and i am going to do that next year... even if some of them seem like stuff i don't care about (like shape of water)-
oh and ps. i was so wanting the young guy from "call me by your name" to win- BUT, he'll have more opportunities i feel sure. that guy is a real talent. i loved that he brought his mom, and even more- i loved how excited and grateful he was when he saw the video feed from the kids at his alma mater!
oh- just read debbie's post and laughed in agreement- i'm sorta over the whole "time's up"/"me too" movement. which sounds so shitty coming from a woman, but well...there it is.
also- i heard maybe next yr they'll get maya and what's her funny-face to host which would spice it up. i liked kimmel, but there really wasn't much to the hosting this year b/c it was all about THE MOVEMENT.
